Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! I’ve been busy studying for the ZCE exam.

No interesting projects finished this week, although I’m working rather diligently on the back-end of High Noon Toastmasters. Sadly, I am going to have to take a hiatus from this site and finish some personal and paying projects until our illustrious club members actually provide me some content
As of 07/10/2009, I received word of my impending layoff, come end of the month. To most people – especially in these times of troubled economy (and for a myriad of other reasons) – a layoff is not favourable news. For me, only one word came to mind: opportunity. Near the end of my years as a FT developer, I wanted to get into PM. Now that I’m there, I miss my development days more and more, and look forward to coming home from work so that I can code. Is the grass always greener?
I have a great deal of projects on my plate. After I finish up all of my current contract work, I am going to refrain from taking any more for the next $duration of time so that I’m able to focus on “cleaning out my own backyard”, so to speak. In other words, my PC [...]
Employment is like dating – when it rains, it pours. When you are single in either world, it seems more difficult to procure opportunities, and yet being “taken” usually results in offers and opportunities being deposited into your mailbox like junk fliers. Even given the dire economic times, my mailbox still appears to be filled [...]
