As I have vowed to no longer do work that doesn’t resonate with me:

I am pleased to be launching a site this week for friends in Saskatchewan with a worthy cause
A site for my one Toastmasters club is well underway
Another project for a local artist friend has been started

Passion Found

My passion for technical work has slowly dwindled over the years, hitting a low point of complete disinterest for a time. My spark has been rekindled by becoming a technical do-gooder. I am inspired by promoting those who have admirable products and services, usually with limited financial backing or none at all. I want to market for all of these holistic hippies and assist in spreading the love, so to speak.

Going Forward

14 hours of driving, combined with sleepless nights in a leaking tent (see photo: there was a lot of grey/rain), lends itself well to doing some ~~deep~~ useful thinking. From this point going forward, I’m only going to contract my services to those in the natural health industry/doing something “good” for human-kind. In the past, I would have been willing to pick up a project if the money was right; now, the motivation behind it is going to be the selling point. Contracting for spare cash as opposed to one’s main source of income certainly has its benefits in the ability to be selective.

Now, to meet an old friend/reflexologist for dinner and see how I may be of service to her…

Top of the Pops

After a Google-type snafu several month ago, I am finally back at the top again. After uploading several imperfect site maps for >5 of my URLs, they sadly lost their high ranking. In fact, they disappeared from the first 20 pages of listings and in a couple of cases, were absent altogether. Now, I am #1 of 1,490,000 for the search terms “holistic ontario”.

In other news, I ordered my Zend Certified Engineer study package and exam – because really, everyone needs a few more initials following their name. In a few short months, I suppose I’ll be able to tack on “ZCE” to the end of my other designations. I’ll have to petition for standard business card size to include 1″ in width.
