It’s been almost a year since I launched the Ontario Holistic Directory. I’ve successfully maintained the #1 listing for the keywords “holistic ontario” for a number of months, but only today did I finally reach #1 for the inverse term, “ontario holistic”. Surprisingly, it was not that difficult for me to achieve this – a combination of domain naming, location-specific content, and .htaccess rewrites. The most rewarding part of this is the fact that I’m providing a free and valued service to people who practicing and preaching that which inspires me – self-responsible health care and maintenance.

Although I had already planned on a few tweaks to improve the site (multiple areas of specialization per practitioner and articles submission), I have become re-committed to this project – to offer a service that is continually increasing in value. A simple fact of the universe – if one believes in such things – is that good karma always repays itself. Through the past 9 months, my commitment and dedication has rewarded itself with an increase of paid contract work and networking opportunities.
