PMP of Myself

Sitting here in Vancouver, a tumbler of fine scotch glass of cheap cider in front of me, I am amazed at how productive I am able to be on vacation. I suspect it’s because “vacation” means I don’t *have* to do anything, and as such – eliminating the pressure – I *want* to do things. I have been finishing up a number of loose ends with myphpcms, including both user and developer documentation. (Air planes are a wonderful breeding ground for docs – no internet, limited socialization, and the desire to pass time). Although bits of contract work pop up occasionally, I am sticking to my guns in terms of accepting new clients, and am about 95% to completion on the large health portal I have been working on for the past 6 months. This will leave me free and clear over the summer months to take a advanced XML and CSS refreshers, and study for my ZCE. Thank $DIETY my PM skills have been most effectively applied to my own life. Otherwise, how could any person manage FT + PT contracting, 2 educational pursuits, several countries a year and a partner, family, and friends. I even sleep!
