Employment is like dating – when it rains, it pours. When you are single in either world, it seems more difficult to procure opportunities, and yet being “taken” usually results in offers and opportunities being deposited into your mailbox like junk fliers. Even given the dire economic times, my mailbox still appears to be filled with unrequested although possibly welcome mail. Every sign points to the fact that the economy is taking a severe flushing down the toilet, and yet opportunities appear to be popping up, as do the crocuses in the spring.
