Today I needed to add 2 of each of the following (DB tables, add/edit forms, listing pages) to an application. It took me < 10 minutes. In the past, this would have taken me about an hour and I've managed to reduce this to 1/6 of the effort. The web applications which I'm currently working on these days are, in many respects, less complicated than ones I have done in the past, but I am constantly finding new and better ways of doing things; ways to maximize the use of my time.

In other news, my Zend Certified Engineer study package has arrived. Now I know how I’ll be spending my Christmas vacation… no, somehow I suspect that my family and partner would object to this!
